 | hey guys, what a shit few days I've had, some cunt stole my push bike yesterday. So last night I found one on gumtree and went and picked it up at 10pm, today just now I'm riding home and another cunt throws a fucking bottle out a truck window as they yelled something totally incomprehensible at me, the bottle hits my right hand bounces off and smashes itself and my chain guard, the chain falls between my cogs and I come to a stop. fuckers rush off at 40 mile an hour laughing their heads off. In the last 2 weeks I've had a lit cigarette thrown at me, yelled at about 6 times and now this! I wear a helmet (the shape of my heads fucked up enough don't need a crash to screw it up more!) and people seem to think it's funny to yell "the war finished in 1945 take the helmet off" hmmm so very smart. Lived in Scotland (Glasgow) for a while, and never saw anything like that. You must be having some bad luck.

sadly over the 3 years i've lived here i've had the above experiences, 2 attempted muggings and 2 actual muggings where i've been injured.
every time that i've had an attack it's always 4 guys and i'm normally by myself walking home.
the last attack (not the bike ones) it turns out from witnesses, i don't remember any of it, i got up after being knocked to the ground and kicked for about 5 minutes by all 4 guys, i punched one in the face and the four of them ran away and i gave chase, the guy I punched was crying.
they all seem like major cowards that when someone gives back they cry.

this is of course not all scotts there's many great scotts, but it seems the dickhead cowards are starting to be over run the country. a real shame.
I read a quote once "scotland's a great place, except for the scotts" hopefuly this never comes true!!! hell my wife's a scot and most of my friends here too.
I've never had an experience like these in any other countries, I've walked many city streets, including ones in arab countries and right through the bronx many times whilst in NY.
Edinburgh recently won the best city in the UK to live and supposedly has one of the lowest crime rates, it must all just happen to me!
I talked to a few cyclists on the way home today, everyone had a story like mine or worse.
I've always found the times in Glasgow to be very friendly.
